Westworld season 4: everything we know

#artificialintelligence

Westworld season 4 was confirmed a couple of weeks before the season 3 finale aired in May 2020, suggesting that HBO still has plenty of faith in its big-budget sci-fi drama. "From the western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we've thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy," said president of HBO programming, Casey Bloys in a company statement. "We can't wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next." Showrunners Nolan and Joy are back to continue their epic tale – based on the 1973 movie directed by Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton – and, going on past form, it's probably best to expect the unexpected. In its third year, the drama took a hard turn away from the android theme park setting at the heart of the first two seasons, spending most of its time in the human world.

It looks like Apple's Siri is a huge fan of the HBO sci-fi show "Westworld." Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Dolores Abernathy in the show, had a little fun with Siri and asked the robotic personal assistant things about the Season 1 finale of "Westworld." The actress even posted screenshots of her conversations with Siri on her Twitter page. In one tweet, Siri quoted the typical response given by hosts whenever they are presented with images of the modern world: "It doesn't look like anything to me." When Wood turned the tables and used quotes from the show, Siri gave out hilarious and witty responses.

'Westworld' Season 1 Spoilers: Show About Robots To Feature 'Romantic Love'

International Business Times

HBO's new sci-fi series "Westworld" hardly seems like the show to feature love and romance, but show creator Lisa Joy said that these two things are actually going to be present throughout the show. "I think it goes back to the notion of romantic love, from the earliest myths, from Pygmalion and Galatea," Joy told the L.A. Times of human guests falling in love with the robotic "hosts" of the theme park. "You fall in love with this inanimate creature that you imbue with all your hopes and dreams. "Oftentimes it's narcissism, because you just want to see yourself in their eyes as something wonderful," she continued. "And that's what a lot of these guests are doing.

New Westworld Trailer Is Both Deeply Chilling And Sensual

#artificialintelligence

HBO has released a new trailer for Westworld, its much anticipated android-apocalyptic-western drama series. With voiceover from the elegantly chilling Anthony Hopkins, the clip indicates that Westworld will tackle fraught, recurring questions surrounding artificial intelligence and what it means to be human. Based on Michael Crichton's 1973 thriller, the series imagines a future in which robots are enslaved by human programmers and situated in a western theme park. Human visitors can do with the androids as they please. "You and everyone you know were built to gratify the desires of people who pay to visit your world," lead programmer Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) admonishes Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood).
